Responding to our Reconciling God
Dear Mosaic Family,
Sunday we will be continuing on through Colossians chapter 1 and arriving at verses 21-23. Following that great passage of Colossians 1:15-20 that describes in wonderful detail the supremacy of Christ Jesus, we discover the purpose and result of God's fullness dwelling in Jesus -- our reconciliation.
That's a relatively common word we use in Christian circles, but I'm not sure we often spend time parsing the true and full meaning of why we needed to be "reconciled". And even if we do that, how often do we then respond to the next question, "So what?" That's where I would like to lean in and explore what Paul and other voices in the New Testament have to say about this glorious gift of reconciliation and its far-reaching effects in our lives.
I look forward to seeing and worshiping with you on Sunday.
