Radical Trust
Dear Mosaic Family,
It’s a brand-new year, and we have a brand-new opportunity to trust God in ways that we never have. We get to trust Him to care for our church family amid a global pandemic that seems relentless and unending. We get to believe that He will provide for and guide us as we build a space for Mosaic Kids that’s under the same roof as the adults. We get to wait on Him for direction and solidarity about a new lead pastor to help us be the church and bring the Kingdom here in Lynchburg. God is calling us to radical trust while our enemy seeks to make us cave in and give up in the face of challenging circumstances. Yes, it’s dark and difficult, but we have seen God work in similar situations, and we know He will do it again! Amen.
We’re beginning a brand-new study of Paul’s Epistle to the Colossians. During this introductory message, we’ll learn about the authorship, historical context, and purpose of the letter. We’ll also take a close look at the first eight verses and see what the Lord has to say to us through them. If you have time, I would encourage you to watch this Bible Project overview of Colossians and read through the letter from start to finish.
Let’s open up our hearts and minds to what the Spirit has to teach us through this timeless treasure in Scripture.
See you on Sunday,
John Stroud
