The New and Eternal Holy Ones
Dear Mosaic,
As we walk through I Peter we have been encouraged over and over by the apostle's teaching regarding our new found life in Jesus despite the reality of suffering in this world because of our love for Jesus. This week is no different! Peter will remind us that Jesus too suffered—all the way unto death. Because of His death and resurrection, we who believe are safe and secure from anything and everything the world could throw at us. Sure, we will suffer too in this world, but this world can't touch the reality of our new life in Jesus.
Peter even references the Spiritual Beings in the days of Noah that rejected God, disobeyed, and suffer now the consequences. They remain condemned but we who believe are condemned no longer and are the new and eternal Holy Ones of God! Jesus really has done it!
I hope to see you Sunday as we jump head first into this incredibly encouraging passage that shows us just how secure and complete we are in Jesus! All disobedient angles, powers, and authorities in the unseen spiritual realm are now subject to Jesus and we are now in Jesus and Jesus is in us! Awesome!
See you then!
