Your Hope, Your Choice: Where Will You Place It?
Dear Mosaic Family,
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, filled not only with turkey and stuffing but also with gratitude for your relationship with God and all that He has done for you. Gratitude has a unique way of breeding hope in our hearts. When we pause to rehearse God's faithfulness in our lives, it reminds us to “put our hope in God.”
This Sunday, we'll begin the Advent season by exploring what it means to place our hope in Jesus—the Promised One who fulfills so many of the prophecies in Hebrew Scripture. I believe this message will lift our hearts and refocus our minds on the source of true hope. Life often tempts us to place our confidence in things that can't sustain us, but this Sunday, we'll discover why and how we can anchor our hope in Christ. It's a message we all need as we prepare our hearts for the celebration of His birth.
I also want to take a moment to thank each of you who participated in our coat drive. Your generosity is more than a gift; it's an act of love that will keep someone warm this winter. Your kindness is a tangible reminder of God's care for His people, and I'm so proud to be part of a church family that reflects His heart in such meaningful ways.
Let's enter this Advent season with hearts full of anticipation, lifting one another up as we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, our living hope. I can't wait to see you on Sunday!
I'm so grateful for each of you,
John Stroud
