Finding Freedom Through Darkness
Dear Mosaic Family,
This week I would like to introduce you to another friend of mine. His name is Jay Briesh. He and his family moved here from Vermont a little over a year ago, and we had a lot of common acquaintances. I discovered that we also share a common love for people and a desire to see them walk in the freedom Jesus died to give them! Jay has been a leader in several Christian organizations. He is a skilled disciple-maker and prayer counselor. The Breish family regularly attends Waymaker Church. Please make them welcome!
Since the elders will be away on retreat studying and praying together, we asked Jay if he would be willing to fill the pulpit. He graciously accepted our invitation.
Jay wrote the following description of what God has placed on his heart to share on Sunday.
Brokenness has to lead me to a breakthrough, and it can lead to yours as well! On Sunday morning, I will share the story of how God met me in the darkest parts of my life and brought me to freedom in Christ through them. This is a freedom I didn't know was possible.
When the storms of my life were more than I could handle, Jesus showed up. In those places, I encountered the living God and learned that Father God is unlike anyone else. I discovered just how needy I actually was. During that time, I learned of His love, protection, and provision for me. I welcome you to be there as I share the "Good News" from the eyes of a redeemed son.
Honestly, folks, I hope you don't miss this opportunity to get to know one of the most honest and spiritually sensitive people I know. Jay's story will challenge and encourage you in your own relationship as a son or daughter of God.
We'll see you there!
