What is the "New Heart"? (Part 2)
Good Morning, Mosaic,
When we read through the scriptures, we read about believers now having a “new heart” or a “new life” or a “new self” and even being a “new creation." We even see these phrases as book titles, song lyrics, and even church names (ie. New Life Church), but what do they really mean? We have all seen these phrases and terms, but how often do we really stop and ponder what really has happened TO us? What does it mean to have a new heart, a new life, a new self and even be a new creation? Are these just words? Are they simply platitudes, or has God done something TO us?
Last week, we saw why we even needed a new heart. I'll give you a hint if you forgot: there's something wrong with the old heart. If you missed the message this past Sunday, you can find and listen to it on Facebook or YouTube. Start at around 50:53.
I hope you’re able to join us as we continue our series pondering the question—what does it mean for us to have a “new heart?”
On July 31, we’ll see what exactly happens to the “old heart” and how we are given this “new heart!” On Aug 7, we’ll see what it looks like to discover this new heart each and every day, here and now, as children of God living by faith!
God has done immeasurable work FOR us, but He has also done something immeasurable TO us!
Hope to see you Sunday!
