Planning God's Way
Dear Mosaic family,
As we continue our study of the book of James, the practical apostle is admonishing his readers for presuming their plans for conducting business and making a profit are ensured, telling them their lives are “like a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes” (James 4:14). That’s harsh! Does that mean that, since we don’t know what tomorrow will bring, James is telling us we should never plan ahead? After all, he refers to our presumptions about what we will do in the future as “boasting” and declares “all such boasting is evil” (James 4:16). As we will see, it's not the planning itself that draws James' ire, but leaving the Lord out of our plans. Let's talk about planning God's way, which serves a greater purpose than our own profit.
I look forward to being with you on Sunday!
Blessings,
Ron Miller
